CAS Note Cards

Hello,

I love pattern papers and I  had accumulated so  much because I didn't want to let it go.  I know it is silly of me. I finally decided to use them.  I saw these cards here and I happened to have the same designer papers so I made these note cards.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

Thought and Prayer Flowers Vine

Good Morning Everyone,

I saw these cards at Split Coast Stamper and just love them. I added punched flowers and pearls to make it more 3 D because I love 3 D items and 3 D cards but I haven't made any 3D card lately.

Here is my favorite one.

I used shimmery card stock and it is so pretty outside the picture.  If you are looking for these shimmer card stocks, I got them from Joann Fabric.

I am going to link this to Make It Monday.

Have a wonderful day!

Crochet Hair Clips

Good Morning,

I can't believe myself that I am still crocheting! I will share the picture when I think I have enough of them. I saw these hair clips at Walmart and thought my crochet flowers would add a nice touch to them.

The flowers looked like two pieces but they were actually just one flower per clip.  I crocheted a second layer that way I didn't have to worry about the top flower will fall off.  I used Tacky glue to glue the flower and the pearl to the hair clip.  The Tacky glue needed time to dry but once it dried it hold the flower really good.

Thanks for looking.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Matchbox Dresser

Good Morning,
I saw this match box dresser on several blogs and had wanted to make one.  So finally here it is.

I used real mirror that I bought from Joann Fabric. This one is for my little neighbor up coming birthday.

Top view of the dresser

The flowers are combination of  die cut and rolled spiral.

Here is another one.

I love this soft color.  The pearls and the three small flowers were for covering up the ink spots. I thought it turn out nice.

For the stands I used two pieces of beads, one star and one  round.  I stacked them together using tacky glue.  Let it dried and glue the star to the dresser base.  If you have question let me know, I will take a better picture to show you.

Thanks again for stopping.

A Quick Valentine's Card

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I have two cards and a quick tutoail to share today.  The first card is a quick Valentine's card using Tim Holt December calender embossing folder.

To make this card I cut a piece of chip board and attached to the back of the embossing folder like this.

I put a piece of card stock in the folder and ran it through the big shot to get this

With this technique I (you) can use this folder all year round. Cool right!

The second card wasn't mine.  My 3 1/2 years old daughter made this card for her friend. She made this card all by herself even the quilling.  She has two friends who are a bit older than her so she made two of these cards for them.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a romantic Monday!

Reflection Card

Hello,

This is my first reflection card.

This was a quick card.  I brayed the top and bottom of the card leaving the center white.  Then I stamped  Lovely As a Tree image for the main image.  Next I stamped the same image on the clear packaging that hold the embossing folder.  I flipped the image upside down to get the trees reflection.  I sponged Chocolate Chip ink for the ground. I wasn't happy with the ground area. I thought it should be green. Well, what a good excuse to make another card!

Until next time. Thanks for taking a peak!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Crochet Roses and Crochet Flowers

Good Morning!
Over the weekend I did nothing except made these:

The roses didn't look so nice in this picture but they are so pretty in person!  There were three layers on each rose. .  These are my favorite of all the crochet flowers that I've made.  I didn't have pattern for these. They were one of the many things that I wanted to learn.

Here are some more

These two colors flowers are called Cheerful Crochet flower.  Here is the link to make them,

Boxes For Tea Light

Hello,
I made two boxes for the tea light.

Top of box

side view with the lid on

The box with the lid off.

The lid.  I made half of the diamond shape on the lid so when I closed the lid I could still see the diamond.

Here is another one pink and white.

 This is the lid

I like the purple better.  I think the lid of the pink and white one looks funny may be I will take the triangles from the lid off.  What do you think?

You can find the mini rose tutorial here.  The flowers on the pink and white lid are just flower punches that I crunched them up and then stacked them together.

The boxes are 3 x 3 x 2.  So you would need 7 x 7 piece of card stock and score 2" all around.  Make four cut and glue the box together.

This is the measurement for the purple lid 5 1/8 x 5 1/8.  Score 1" all around.  Then make four cut. Decorate any way you like.

Kusudama

Hello,

I took a break from crocheting.  Then I watched a bunch of movies and  instead of munch on pop corns I folded lots of papers and made these kusudama.  I had wanted to make them for quite some time and kept on putting them off.  I'm glad to have one thing checked off my to do list.

The below picture  was my first one among the five kusudama.  I used 3" x 3" Stampin' Up! pattern papers.  I wasn't happy with the result. I haven't made these for awhile so my folding and gluing wasn't even.  So I used different pattern papers.  The papers were thinner than SU pattern papers and they turned out much nicer. I cut the papers 2" x 2". Each kusudama used less than two sheets of 12 x 12 pattern papers.  Tutorial can be found here.  I used Tacky glue which dry pretty fast.

These kusudama are not only for Christmas ornaments.  You can use them for other decoration all year round.

Until next time.
